Successful Singing Group Leadership Training
in Forest Row, E. Sussex

An intensive training to run successful, sensational singing groups….
for singing-group-leader wannabees, newbees and ‘old-handers’ alike.
This intensive, specialist training will take place in-person, with follow-up
work on via zoom
Whether new to running singing groups, looking for guidance and support, or an ‘old-hander’ looking for new ideas and inspiration, this is the workshop for you! Three intensive, practical days, plus 3 x 2 hour follow-up sessions,
packed full of time-tested tips, tools and teaching skills to equip you to effectively run happy, successful singing workshops and choirs…whether in-person or on zoom.
Material will include:
- The Hows, Whys and Whats of Vocal Warm-ups
- Song Teaching Tools, Tips and Trouble-shooting games
- Intuiting the Group’s needs
- Singing Material Appropriate to the Group
- The Practicalities, Logistics & Finances of Setting up a Group
- Ways to Ensure a Positive Experience for your group
- Looking after Oneself & Vocal Hygiene
- An opportunity to experiment with teaching ….
- Singing, Breathing, Song Sharing…
- Mentoring and support
This material has grown out of 30 years’ experience of running choirs and singing groups and is underpinned by decades of teaching the Alexander Technique and working at the connected interface of mind-body-energy-emotions-and-voice.
Material will be taught through discussion, practical demonstrations, experiential work, application of material to songs bought by participants, observation and feedback…
A certificate of attendance will be offered upon completion of this training workshop, as proof of CPD.

Friday 5th July: 2-6pm
Saturday 6th July: 10am-5pm
Sunday 7th July: 10am-3.30pm

(Forest Row is a ‘holistically-orientated’ village 34 miles south of London, amid the beautiful Ashdown Forest, complete with stunning countryside walks, biodynamic farms and quirky cafes! It is 2 miles from East Grinstead train station and 20 mins drive from M23.)

Cancellations more than 2 months before May 12th: full refund minus booking fee.
Cancellations between 13th May – 12th June: 50% refund minus booking fee.
Cancellations less than from 13th June: no refund.
Tickets are transferable to another person of your choice at no additional fee at any time.
