Description
‘Finding Vocal Freedom & Ease’:
Alexander Technique, Voice & Breath
3rd May 2024
12 noon – 5.45pm
in Forest Row, East Sussex, RH185DS
For singers, speakers, performers and anyone interested in
how their physicality effects voice and breath.
With Delia Rosenboom ATI. NVN. experienced Alexander Technique teacher, Singing workshop leader & Mental Fitness Coach.
A unique opportunity to work creatively with the Alexander Technique in relation to singing and breathing
and to explore how releasing unnecessary tension patterns can free and expand your voice and enhance vocal performance.
During this workshop we will explore different elements of vocalising and breathing and how we can optimise performance through learning to ‘do less to allow more’.
We will seek to improve vocal experience through changing awareness, and letting go of interfering habits, using Alexander Technique-based release work.
A chance to optimise suspension of the vocal apparatus, free ribs and spine, to lengthen and deepen the breath, awaken the soft palate…and more.
This day will include lots of experiential release work, gentle movement / stretching, singing, talk-throughs….and fun…
We will work in stillness (lying on the floor) and in movement, whilst humming, singing, speaking, sounding….
